Good Day to all Edolite as we keep watching the steps taken by the elected people’s governor to retrieve his stolen mandate and for the return of the people’s Mandate by the Judiciary our prayers should be on the Judges to have courage and be bold to despense Justice because no nation make progress and prosper were lawlessness and impunity reign.We have seen 60 days of abuse of power, oppression and the intimidation of the citizens of Edo state by few people who feel that power is for self ego and not for public service or good. This behavior is completely alien to our democracy and we have not experienced this level of illegality, impunity and lawless high handedness before. Where laws of the land are flagrantly dragged on the ground by none state actors and the security officer or law enforcer’s look the other way with no arrest whatsoever. This act have the tendency to distibilize the state and give raise to crisis and no state can develop without peace.
The LGA coup is a complete act of treason, we saw first hand how citizens of the state were shot at in all the 18 LGA area of the state all in a bid to hijack the office of elected executive Chairman and there Vice with the use of guns, to the extent that some citizens sustain bullet wounds as if we are in a military dictatorship or civil war.
This is a state that supposedly has a governor who took an Oath to be governor of all and whose responsibility it is to protect life and prosperity’s of the citizens.
It’s quite unfortunate that we are experiencing this situation in the 21st century our call is for the Youth of Edo state to refuse to be used and or to cause mayhem, as the fight to ensure justice is done for our collective future and that of our children. it’s obvious that for the 60 days that Sen. Monday Okpehbolo has been governor, he has shown that he has nothing to offer the good people of Edo State.
All we see is lawlessness, impunity intimidation and harassment with no meaningful developmental project outside the one done by the previous governor His Excellence Godwin Obaseki.
For the good, progress and prosperity of all Edolite we should be prayerful, focused and committed to DR ASUERINME IGHODALO’S mandate recovery because he is the one that has told us what he will do for us, how he will do it and when he will do it. It has the Capacity, Character and Competence to bring development and progress to all parts of Edo State.
