Today, the Edo Youth Movement (EYM), led by the President, Hon.Vincent Aimienota, paid a courtesy visit to the distinguished PDP chieftain, High Chief Tom Ikimi, at his residence.
During the visit, the President EYM Hon. Aimienota introduced himself, the EYM, and its local government coordinators. He elaborated on the movement’s vision and mission for the state, emphasizing that governance should focus on the development and advancement of both the state and its citizens.
Hon. Aimienota praised High Chief Tom Ikimi for his significant role in endorsing a reputable and capable candidate, thus steering the state towards its aspirational goals. He announced the movement’s decision to honor High Chief Ikimi by appointing him as one of its patrons, alongside the Esama of Benin, Chief Gabriel Igbinedion.
In response, High Chief Ikimi welcomed the group warmly. He shared insights on the importance of selecting the right candidate and the vital role of youth in achieving effective governance. He expressed his support for Dr. Ause Ighodalo, acknowledging him as a youth-centric individual deserving of the PDP flag. High Chief Ikimi reiterated his commitment to ensuring Dr. Ighodalo’s victory in the upcoming election scheduled for September 21, 2024.
The meeting concluded with High Chief Ikimi pledging his full support for the EYM and encouraging them to continue their commendable efforts. The event ended on a positive note with a group photograph.
